I realized I had a few more Puerto Lopez pictures.
A few years back, a whale washed up on shore and the couple that ran our hostel paid a bunch of guys to go at it with chainsaws. Then they wrote out 100 whale facts in 4 languages and made a sort of informative hike to the whale skeleton. It was funny talking to one of their employees about all the cool stuff they did. "They´re artists you know and it blows my mind! What brains they have! (head shake)" That kind of stuff. (Tom) She was like the way mom can get, haha.
They also put up this cool thing: How far away all the major cities in the world are.
The enterance to the hostel in all its glory. Notice the spikes again. There are always spikes and they really can´t be preventing any crime I can´t imagine, except maybe baby crime... if that´s a problem around here, I don´t know.
