Toilet Town Part 1

Here is Baños - "toilet town" as neither of us ever called it. They have hot springs galor. We went to this one, behind the catapillar bus. There are more secluded ones you could hike to but Gillian had broke her foot so we didn´t.

Gillian didn´t break her foot. It was the election though. Everyone was voting on whether to change the constitution but in order to do so, they had to return to the city in which they were registered -like Jesus for the census. I guess in an effort to be like Jesus, everyone registered in other cities than the one they live in. (oh and voting is mandatory here) So as it turneed out, the day we picked to travel to Baños was the worst day to travel all year.

So, you can´t sell alchohal during the weekend of an election. It´s a huge concern that people will get really drunk and not take the election seriously or not be able to move enough to vote. Our hostel Plantas y Blanco (which is a funny name since it was white and had plants in it) didn´t abide.

This inscription claimed that this man wrote the greatest essays known to man or some such thing.

Yea Jack and Gilli,
I'm glad Gilli didn't really break her foot.
