We finally got on a good bus, and went all night to Huaraz. It's beautiful, way up in the mountains. In 1970, an earthquake totally destroyed the town and so most of the buildings aren't old Spanish creations, but it was just amazing to be surrounded by the mountains. Most people come here to do 3 to 7 night treks through the mountains. We just stuck with regular day hikes.
That's the view from our room in Huaraz. After 2 days here, we went to a lodge up there and did some amazing hikes.
View from the cafe we kept going to. Huaraz was the first place we've been to with real bacon. Mmmmmm, real... At a different place, we watched all the Michael Jackson music videos. It was amazing!
3rd eye... I can hardly keep track of 2! Plus, I don't want it to look like I have a big zit all the time, God!
