Our tour in Trujillo was kinda unorganized and uninformative. We wasted a lot of time during lunch, before coming to this second ruin (more on lunch later when I post a video). This one was small, an outlying structure near to Chan Chan, where we went next. A lot of this pre-Incan city has been destroyed as it used to be huge.
Bla Bla Bla, these carving have been restored. Kinda neat. It was covered in rainbows.
Chan Chan was a vast complex used during only one king, and then abandoned. Instead of building extra floors for each king, these guys built whole new complexes. When the Incans came, they put Chan Chan to use once again.
This was either for the sacrificing or the market.
The most popular drink here seems to be Inca Cola. It's yellow and tastes like bubble gum. Disgusting, but it outsells even Coke I'm told (and is now owned by Coke too). The popular traditional drink is chocha (I think it is called and spelled). It's made of corn, but tastes way better than it did in Ecuador. Different corn and a different process I think. It's apparently very complicated and needs to be made in huge quantities to be worth it.
Like always, there was one of those crazy native hairless dogs out front and a man selling Nestle ice cream bars. Nestle owns this continent, it's crazy.
These were little offices for accountants and priests etc.
This was originally for storing water, so it's supposed to look like this.
